Wooden Play Fridge in Dusty Blue
This is a perfect play fridge for your little chef. A perfect place where to store your play food and play dishes. Young chefs will be able to store in the fridge all of their pretend play food, kitchen appliances, and other play items.
This fridge is a realistic addition to any play kitchen. A great way to teach children about the things we put in the fridge, and why. It encourages creative and imaginative play.
Play Fridge requires adult assembly.
Made from the best quality FSC certified plywood — responsibly sourced materials. For the surface coating, we use Rubio Monocoat products which are unique plant-based hard-wax oils and stains produced in Belgium.
Back in 2018, when our daughter Zoe was about to turn 2, we were quite frustrated what to get her. Plastic toys pile up, create a huge mess, and break within 15 minutes. While we were searching, Zoe showcased a peculiar interest in cooking. Zoe had developed not only an interest in how the food was made, but she could also remember where the ingredients were.
This sparked an idea for a wooden kitchen set, and yet we couldn’t find anything durable and play-friendly. So we decided to make our own set. Two sketches, with corrections and pointers from the missus, and some plywood later, our first play-set was finished, and along with a post on Instagram, Zoe was leaping from joy on her birthday. However, the post attracted more than a couple of likes. It turned out, there were a lot of parents that were also on the lookout for durable, yet stylish sets for their children.
Play-set by play-set production grew until MIDMINI was founded as a team of two - husband and wife - Roberts and Elīna, with one goal in mind - to create high-quality, long-lasting, beautiful and playful plywood play-sets.
Midmini play-sets are made locally, outsourcing materials from distributors in the EU to make them sustainable and eco-friendly. We use FSC certified Baltic Birchwood, and as finishing materials we use 0% VOC plant-based oils and eco paints, which are safe for kids, meaning that your little ones can actually place food and “cook” there
